DIY: Translucent powder

Translucent powders, mineral veils or finishing powders are used to seal your makeup in. For girls who have oily skin like me it is a necessity. I didn't want to spend too much on translucent powders so I searched online for the most common materials used for it. I read through different DIYs of it too.

This is what I came up with!

I used Rice flour, Cornstarch and Vanilla Powder for fragrance and of course your container. For added color I used Snoe's Poudre Extraordinaire in Perfect Beige which also has SPF 30++  and Acai Berry. I planned to include arrowroot powder in place of Talc powder, which could cause breathing problems and lung cancer. But I can't seem to find arrowroot powder in any of the grocery stores I go to :( I'll add it to my mixture when I find arrowroot powder.

Anyway just mix everything THOROUGHLY for the tint to really spread itself. I used 2 tablespoons of each ingredient. While I used 1/4 tbsp vanilla powder.

I use this powder religiously and even made a travel-sized version of it. I love it and everything costed about 60php!

On Too Cool for School's After School BB Cream

So as I said I would make a review after I used Too Cool for School's BB Cream.
And I took this opportunity to blog about it since I thoroughly tested it  from Fall Out Boy's concert here in Manila.

PROS:
  • Value for money especially since it also comes with a concealer and highlighter
  • CUTE packaging
  • Really conceals blemishes and redness
  • Has a bit of a dewy cast on your face
CONS:
  • A bit unsanitary since you have to scoop the product out with a spatula then reuse it
  • Packaging will make it hard to scoop all the product out ones it's almost empty
  • A bit hard to blend (You literally have to use a DOT of the product! I had to roll the marshmallow sponge all over my face when I used more than a dot)
  • Does not last ME the whole day (Really depends, its really humid here and I tend to really oily)

Will I repurchase? If I get to finish it! and I would probably repurchase it in its trial size which comes  with a pump instead of a spatula. It's cheaper too.

*All photos taken from Google Images since I'm too lazy to take a photo of it.

I am also currently loving Maybelline's Hyper Glossy Liquid Liner! It's staying power and tint is just remarkable! A bit unforgiving to shaky hands but once you get a hang of it it will really stick til you have to rub it out. It also dries up quickly and it's cheap too. I'm never going back to gel liners.

Love,

DIY: Galaxy Cross Notebook

Another late DIY post. Which was really easy to do! My Galaxy Notebook!

All I used were the ff:
What is important here is the placing of the duct tape. It has to be even and aligned (unlike what I did)

Then, the best part is putting the glitter! and then tapping it like mad! hihi.
